Die Academy for Advanced Training in Psychotherapy (AATiP) wurde 2007 von Martina Belz und Franz Caspar in Bern gegründet.

Die Akademie hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, neueste empirisch fundierte Entwicklungen mit  hoher Praxisrelevanz auf dem Gebiet der Psychotherapie einer interessierten Fachöffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen.

Der englische Name reflektiert das Konzept, erfahrene, mit der internationalen Psychotherapie- und Psychotherapieforschungsszene vertraute Wissenschaftler und Psychotherapeutinnen einzuladen und auch Kolleginnen und Kollegen nicht deutscher Muttersprache anzusprechen.

Das Kursangebot orientiert sich an einem Expertisemodell mit starker Betonung der «deliberate practice» mit dem Prinzip «Üben-Feedback-Verbessern-Feedback» zur Vermittlung praxisrelevanten Handlungswissens.

Die AATiP bietet eine ausgewählte Palette qualitativ hochwertiger Fortbildungsreihen an und ist dabei bemüht, die Gründerpersönlichkeiten innovativer Ansätze einer breiten Fachöffentlichkeit zu präsentieren.

Das Angebot richtet sich vor allem an fortgeschrittene Psychotherapeuten und Psychotherapeutinnen.

The Academy for Advanced Training in Psychotherapy (AATiP) has been founded in 2007 in Bern by Martina Belz and Franz Caspar. It is the primary task of the academy to make newest, empirically founded developments of high practical relevance for the field of psychotherapy accessible to interested colleagues.

The English name reflects the concept of inviting experienced researchers and psychotherapists who are known in the international scene of psychotherapy, and of appealing also to colleagues with other than German native language.

The workshop offer is oriented toward a model of professional expertise with a strong emphasis on "deliberate practice" (Ericsson) with the principle of "practicing-feedback-improvement-feedback" in the acquisition of practice relevant knowledge for action.

AATiP offers a selection of qualitatively high standing series of workshops as well as training/supervision for advanced psychotherapists. It strives for presenting founders of innovative approaches to interested colleagues. The offer is adapted primarily to the needs of advanced psychotherapists.
